Gallstones Home Remedy

Gallstones are a painful problem with an expensive solution. Earlier, the only possible treatment for gallstones was surgery which of course was quite expensive.

But with technological advancements we now have some effective non-surgical treatments too, yet, they too are very costly.

As such, the only viable option left for most of us folks is to go with the traditional method of healing.

These remedies are based on purging these gallstones and flushing them out with water. Taking a mixture of juices of beets, carrots and cucumber, all in equal amounts, twice a day can help you get rid of your gallstones easily.

Another way of purging your gallstones is taking 4 teaspoons of lemon juice everyday for at least a week. Again, take lots of water to help pass out the gallstones.

If you are not exactly fond of juices you can also go for a pear fruit. The idea is to eat as much pear fruit as possible as it is known to have a softening effect on the gallstones. It is also known to have a cleansing effect on your gall bladder.

Certain oils are also known to be good for treating gallstones and oils particularly sunflower oil and virgin olive oils are great. So, you can start by taking 30 ml of sunflower oil or the olive oil as the first intake for the day and subsequently take about 120ml of grapefruit juice or lemon juice. This remedy is able to help eliminate the gallstones by flushing them out through your bowels in the form of green stones.

Using certain extracts as a part of your tea can help you clean out the gallstones or kidney stones present in your system. St. John’s Wort is one such herbal medicine.

Another important step is to reduce your cholesterol intake as it tends to undo the good work done by the above remedies. So watch what you eat.

However as with any form of traditional healings and cures which has been known to take time and may or may not work as effectively, it is wise to first consult your doctor regarding your current gall bladder symptoms before getting involved in trying-it yourself gallstones home remedy.
