Compression suits are relatively new garments that have been used to help athletes in their trainings. Like the name implies, compression suit squeezes and puts pressure on the body thereby reduces the swelling caused by pooling of fluids especially around the limb area. Compression suits come in various types of garments and they include socks, pants, arms, tops among others.
These wears have been known to help improve one’s exercising performance as it promotes the removal of lactate from the blood, a substance that is produced particularly during a vigorous exercise. It is actually a result of muscle “burn” where excessive lactic acid is produced. Insufficient clearing of lactate from the blood may lead to body fatigue.

Compression Suits
These suits offer many benefits for an athlete. Not only do they help reduce the pooling of fluids in the limb, they also help squeeze de-oxygenated blood back to the heart during training. This promotes better bloodflow and minimize blood pooling. In fact, the suit can also help reduce muscle soreness since it promotes faster warming and maintains the body temperature during body warm-up.
Studies have also found that with the use of compression wear, the effect of muscle pain or soreness several days following an intense workout is greatly reduced. Given the many benefits of wearing a compression garment, it would be great if you can get one for yourself especially if you are a regular sports player. Depending on what sports you are in, you will need different garment for different sports.
Generally, if you are an athlete of upper body sport such as climbing, get yourself a top and an arm whereas if you are a lower-body athletes such as being a tennis or a soccer player, get yourself a compression pants. If you have the money, there is no harm in investing in various compression suits!
