Gall Bladder Symptoms

by Edward Daniel Leave a Comment

Gall bladder symptoms are very similar to typical digestive problems and it can be very hard to identify a gall bladder issue from a digestive disorder, and given that there is also no difference between a man and a woman, identifying gall bladder problems can be quite challenging.

The fact that people do not normally relate digestive problems with gall bladder issues are causing them to easily overlook any gall bladder disease that may be affecting them. Gall bladder is actually a part of the digestive system. It is a very small organ that is located just right beneath the liver.

Although the symptoms of gall bladder problems are very similar between men and women, the latter is found to be more susceptible to the condition – by as much as 2 times greater than the former. Studies have found that the imbalance between the two female hormones namely the estrogen and progesterone, are the main cause of increased occurance of gall bladder issues among women.

The symptoms are similar to the symptoms of digestive system disorders including liver symptoms, ulcer symptoms, stomach pain, vomitting, diarrhea, constipation, gas, high fever among others. In fact, it is also possible to notice color changes to the eyes and skin too.

This is particularly notable if the sufferer has fair skin complexions. The skin may turn more yellowish and his or her stool may also turn into a lighter shade of color. Women during pregnancy are also susceptible to getting gall bladder illnesses.

The fact that many women in their pregnancies also exhibit many similar symptoms such as nausea, vomitting and constipation; overlooking of gallbladder problems are even more common. Therefore, if you are experience any of these symptoms during pregnancy, it would be best to consult your doctor for proper treatments.

Symptoms generally occur after a meal, particularly a heavy one. If you are feeling an acute pain around your stomach region after meal and if it continues for more than 10 minutes or so, you should get the symptoms checked by your medical practitioner.

Gall Bladder Treatment

Treatments for gall bladder problems are available with today’s modern advancement in medical technologies but the treatment for gall bladder problems such as gallbladder stones can take days or even weeks for one to fully recover. This greatly depends on the severity of the condition itself.

As such early detection of the problem is vital to rule out any severe conditions later on. Although surgery can be used to treat gall bladder problems, it is best to avoid it unless absolutely necessary.

Alternative treatments through drugs, home remedies as well as other non-invasive treatments should be tried and used to cure gall bladder ailments first before resorting to surgery. Should everything else failed, gall bladder surgery would be the last option.

Nonetheless, if you believe you are experiencing gall bladder symptoms, you should talk to your doctor. Your doctor would then be able to run a diagnosis on your current condition.

Detecting the issue early is important so as to rule out other more significant underlying health issues such as gallbladder stones or even life threatening gall bladder cancer. So get your condition checked today for a healthier living.
